Error description
When there is an HA/DR configuration in the MQ Appliances and an upgrade to 9.2 is being performed, the 'sethagrp -u' command must be run to migrate the DR resources. However, if there is a connection problem between the HA interfaces on the MQ Appliances during the upgrade then the sethagrp -u (-f) command fails to migrate the queue manager. The command reports that the High availability configuration is already migrated and the queue manager fails to start on the upgraded node. The status of the queue manager shows as 'Resource failed' mqa(mqcli)# status QM1 QM(QM1) Status(Running elsewhere) HA role: Secondary HA status: Resource failed HA control: Enabled HA preferred location: This appliance DR role: Primary DR replication type: Asynchronous

Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: Users using HA and DR configuration on MQAppliance and migrating from version 9.1 to 9.2. Platforms affected: MultiPlatform **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: If the HA connections were down between the HA appliances while the first node was being upgraded then the 'Migration Pending' flags was not set. When sethagrp command was run with -u option to migrate the queue manager to the 9.2 version, it reported the queue manager is already migrated. The command failed to migrate the queue manager even when run with -f option.
Problem conclusion
The code has been modified to ensure that the queue manager migration succeeds if sethagrp -u -f command is run even if the 'Migration Pending' flag is not set. --------------------------------------------------------------- The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs: Version Maintenance Level v9.2 LTS 9.2.0.4 v9.x CD 9.2.3 The latest available maintenance can be obtained from 'WebSphere MQ Recommended Fixes' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006037 If the maintenance level is not yet available information on its planned availability can be found in 'WebSphere MQ Planned Maintenance Release Dates' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006309 ---------------------------------------------------------------
