Error description

  • When replay-only window avoidance is enabled on a HADR standby,
a trap could be encountered during drop of a system temporary
table that was created by a query running on the standby and the
temporary table was created in a temporary tablespace that is
managed by database. A stack similar to the following will be

Local fix

  • Workaround :
The problem occurs when avoid replay only window is enabled, a
read on standby query creates a temporary table and the
temporary tablespace used for the temp table is managed by
database. Customer can check that they are using database
managed temporary tablespaces by running "db2 list tablespaces"

Two options to get around the issue

     db2set DB2_HADR_ROS_AVOID_REPLAY_ONLY_WINDOW=OFF
     OR
create system temporary tablespace as managed by system
