APAR status

Error description

  • Currently we only check to see if there are any connections
that have reached the ConnectionIdleTimeoutSec setting whenever
an new connection request is attempted. The requirement is for
this check to happen independantly of new connection requests.

USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM Integration Bus version 10.1 or App Connect
Enterprise version 12 or higher using the IMSRequest Node.

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Currently the IMSRequest Node only checks to see if there are
any connections that have reached the ConnectionIdleTimeoutSec
setting whenever an new connection request is attempted. This
can cause connections to be open for longer than the
ConnectionIdleTimeoutSec setting.

    



Problem conclusion


    

  • A background thread now checks for idle IMS connections rather
than waiting for a message to be processed by the IMSRequest
Node.
