Error description

  • While setting up disaster recovery (DR) for a queue manager
which was part of an HA group, and not using the floating ip
address option, the command generated by the "Setup DR primary"
stage to be used in setting up of DR secondary resulted in an
incorrectly generated an "Invalid command string entered" error
when the command was pasted in "Create DR secondary queue
    manager" Appliance web console page.

For example, If "Setup DR primary" generated the following
    command:

    crtdrsecondary -m QUEUE_MANAGER_NAME -s 204800 -l
    HAAppliance1,HAAppliance2 -I <xxx.xxx.xx.xx>,<yyy.yyy.yy.yy> -p
    <xxxx>

attempting to use this command in the console failed with an
"Invalid command string entered". The same command would run
successfully when entered on the appliance command line on the
    terminal.

Since the queue manager was part of an HA pair, setting up DR
resulted in multiple ip address and appliance names for each
appliance in the crtdrsecondary command, which the "Create DR
secondary queue manager" Appliance web console page could not
    process correctly.

Local fix

  • Use CLI to create the DR secondary as the issue only occurs in
    the Web Console.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
While setting up a disaster recovery (DR) secondary queue

command was pasted into the "Create DR secondary queue manager"
    Appliance web console page.

Problem conclusion

  • The "Create DR secondary queue manager" Appliance web console
validation has been updated to fix the incorrect validation.
