Error description

  • HTTP ERROR 503 Service Unavailable when trying to access Web
UI. The upgrade seemed to go ok, and port 58083 is up

java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-01795: maximum number of
expressions in a list is 1000

Problem summary

  • Description of issue: User getting HTTP ERROR 503 Service
Unavailable when trying to access the web UI. The cause of this
was an SQL syntax error due to the existence of 1000+ user roles
 being defined.  The following error was displayed in ccweb.log:
 Caused by: java.sql.SQLSyntaxErrorException: ORA-01795: maximum
 number of expressions in a list is 1000

Problem conclusion

  • Description of fix: Modified the logic which constructs the
query to limit each IN clause to a maximum of 999 items.
