IT36214: FILEINPUT NODE MAY PROCESS PARTIALLY WRITTEN FILES IF THE WRITING APPLICATION DOES NOT TAKE A LOCK ON THE FILE

Error description

• Before processing any file, FileInput node acquire a 'rw' lock
  to confirm the same file is not still getting written. But in
  some cases the writing application may not take a lock before
  the write and so the FileInput node may process a partially
  written file.
  This APAR provides an option to specify a time
  delay for FileInput node and the FileInput node processes an
  input file only after the lastupdatetime of the file expires
  this configured time delay.

Problem summary

  USERS AFFECTED:
  All users of IBM AppConnect Enterprise V11.0 or V12.0 and IBM
  Integration Bus V10.0 using the FileInput node.
  
  
  Platforms affected:
  z/OS, MultiPlatform

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

Problem conclusion

• The product now introduced an Environment variable
  MQSI_FILENODES_LAST_MODIFIED_TIME_DELAY to avoid FileInput node
  start processing any partially written input file. Once this
  environment variable is set with a value say 5000, the FileInput
  node wont pick and process a file if the difference between
  current time and last modified time of that file is less than
  5000 milli seconds.
