Error description

  • Users use the APL xx function to colorize their sources. It
used to work in their PCOMM v6.0.10.

    After moving to PCOMM
14.0.1 level, if they customize the keyboard and enter the
string "APL xx" function on a certain key command, they are
getting an error validation message when saving the
    changes:

    "PCSKBD160 - Unrecognized key-action: APL xx"

    * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *
    ****************************************************************
PCOMM APL xx is not supporting the lower hexadecimal value from
    0x00 to 0x40 in the following PCOMM version 6.0.19, 12.0, 13.0
and 14.0. The older PCOMM versions were supporting lower
    hexadecimal values.

In this case PCOMM is providing the setting to enable lower
hexadecimal value for APL xx function using PCSWIN.INI file.

    [Edit]
AllowAPL=N, Default, current behaviour (dis-allow APL characters
    below 0x40)
    [Edit]
AllowAPL=Y, To dis-allow APL charecters below 0x20 (allow APL
    characters from 0x20 to 0x40)

Problem conclusion

  • PCSKBD.DLL code changes made to support the lower hexadecimal
(0x20 to 0x40) in APL xx keyboard functions.
AllowAPL keyword enabled in PCSWIN.INI file
