Error description

  • The Recover BP fails in the Message Recovery Service. , which
    seems to be implemented with the LostMessageService class. This
    class access the CONSUME_LISTENER table. I checked the table
    definition. Two column names sound like column, which contain
    wf_ids: consumer_wf_id and sender_workflow_id. Both defined as
    number.
    
    As this exception is created by the Message Recovery
    Service and not a LWJDBC service support, I am not sure if a
    code fix of any service is needed.

    Problem Description:
    
    Customer reached the limit for INT for wf_id. After this the
    Recover BP fails in the Message Recovery Service with a SQL
    error:

    -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1,
    -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1,
    -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1,
    -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1,
    -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1, -1,

    LostMessageServiceprocessData() caught SQLException while
    attempting to read from
    DB.com.ibm.db2.jcc.am.SqlSyntaxErrorException:
    [jcc][10177][11615][4.25.23] Invalid data conversion: Requested
    conversion would result in a loss of precision of 2257875073.

Problem conclusion

  • Resolution Summary:
    CONSUMER_WF_ID and SENDER_WORKFLOW_ID are BIGINT in the
    CONSUME_LISTENER table, values inserted to these columns should
    be of long datatype, otherwise a number like 2257875073 won't be
    correctly inserted if it was inserted as an integer.
