Local fix
Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: The issue occurred when running refresh cluster on a MQ 9.0 system, however the issue is encountered only as a result of a highly unusual condition where a scratchpad file erroneously exists on disk outside of the queue manager's knowledge. Platforms affected: MultiPlatform **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: AN attempt to run REFRESH CLUSTER failed when MQ attempted to create a scratchpad file because a file with the same name already existed on disk. The failure generated an FDC with Probe ID AO254010 and a defect in the error cleanup code caused the queue manager's object catalog entry to be removed and overwritten. When the queue manager was later restarted the strmqm command failed and recorded an FDC with Probe Id AO063020 and Major Error Code "arcE_OBJECT_DAMAGED".
Problem conclusion
The defect has been fixed such that MQ no longer overwrites the queue manager's object catalog entry if the error situation arises. --------------------------------------------------------------- The fix is targeted for delivery in the following PTFs: Version Maintenance Level v9.0 LTS 9.0.0.13 The latest available maintenance can be obtained from 'WebSphere MQ Recommended Fixes' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006037 If the maintenance level is not yet available information on its planned availability can be found in 'WebSphere MQ Planned Maintenance Release Dates' http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=171&uid=swg27006309 ---------------------------------------------------------------
