APAR status

Error description

  • MQ TLS/SSL channel running on distributed platforms
    intermittently time out and stops when
    the partner channel is running HPE Non Stop platform.
    
    The problem might also occur when the channel is started and the
    channel might fails to start

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
    Users running TLS/SSL channels between Distributed platforms and
    HPE NonStop platform
    
    
    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform
    
    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    A defect in handling TLS/SSL re-negotiation after key reset
    causing the channel to timeout and ends after the expiry of Heat
    Beat interval. The problem might also occur during initial
    TLS/SSL handshake when the channel is started.
    

Problem conclusion

  • This issue is addressed by updating the level of the GSKit
    cryptographic libraries in use by MQ to GSKit 8.0.55.21 or
    later.
