Error description

  • When executing dltdrprimary command, the DR definition was
deleted successfully on the HA primary appliance, however, due
to an unexpected issue, the entry for this queue manager was
not deleted from the drbd resource file on the HA secondary
appliance. When an attempt to recreate the DR definition for
the same queue manager was performed by running crtdrprimary a
duplicate entry was added to the drbd resource file for the
    same queue manager.

This then causes multiple failures, such as, drbd service on the
    node goes down
and the HA queue managers are unable to run on this node.

Local fix

  • Contact IBM Support to get service console access to cleanup
    the DR resources.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The dltdrprimary command may fail to remove the DR resource
information from the queue manager resource file and a
subsequent crtdrprimary will add a duplicate resource definition
to this file . This corruption in the resource file will cause
failure while performing any further HA/DR operations.

Problem conclusion

  • The code has been modified to ensure no duplicate resource
definition are present in the DRBD resource file.
