APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When a client attempts to deploy a V5 user defined policy to the
API Gateway via an extension, that does not have a properties
section in the description yaml, the policy will fail to deploy
and an exception will be thrown in the gateway logs.

Local fix

  • Add an empty properties section to the description yaml for the
user defined policy.

Problem summary

  • V5 User policies will not be deployed on Api Gateway mode when
the description yaml does not have a properties section.

Problem conclusion

  • When a client attempts to deploy a V5 user defined policy to the
 API Gateway via an extension, that does not have a properties
section in the description yaml, the policy will fail to deploy
and an exception will be thrown in the gateway logs.

Temporary fix

  • Add an empty properties section to the description yaml for the
user defined policy.
