Error description

  • The existing documentation on how to configure keystores and
    truststores correctly mentions that the PKCS12 format can be
    used. However the documentation incorrectly implies that the
    proper name for this format is "P12". Attempting to set "P12"
    as the keystore or truststore type will result in an invalid
    keystore format exception at runtime.
    
    The documentation should
    be updated to state that the correct type for such keystores is
    PKCS12, not P12.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    The Knowledge Center incorrectly refers to PKCS12 keystores as
    P12 keystores in a number of places, which incorrectly implies
    that this is a valid keystore type string that can be set in the
    server.conf.yaml and node.conf.yaml whenever a keystore or
    truststore type must be specified. This is incorrect, the
    correct keystore string for such keystores is "PKCS12" not
    "P12".
    

Problem conclusion

  • The KC has been updated to refer to keystores and truststores as
    PKCS12 keystores and truststores rather than P12 keystores and
    truststores.
