• When vSphere environment (ESXi host specifically) is configured
  to use TSLv1.2, IBM Spectrum Protect for Virtual Environments
  Application protection of an Exchange server or a SQL server
  fails with communication errors or with the messages
  below:

Local fix

• In System properties > Advanced > Environment Variables, create
  a new System variable named "JAVA_TOOLS_OPTIONS" with a value
  of "-Dhttps.protocols=TLSv1.2"
