IT34389: Duplicate stanzas in an MQ client or queue manager configurationfile are not processed

APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• If certain configuration file stanzas - such as the Channels
  stanza
  within the qm.ini file - are present more than once in a
  configuration file, the
  contents of the subsequent instances of the stanza are not
  processed by MQ
  

Local fix

• Ensure each stanza only appears once in the configuration file -
  the
  attributes defined in subsequent occurrences of the stanza
  should be moved to the first occurrence, so that the additional
  occurrence(s) can be removed.

  Users of MQ using either qm.ini or mqclient.ini files to
  configure MQ behaviour, where any of the following stanzas
  appears more than once in the file:

  ClientExitPath
  MessageBuffer
  LU62
  NETBIOS
  Security
  SPX
  SSL
  TCP
  
  
  Platforms affected:
  MultiPlatform

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
  A logic error meant that subsequent occurrences of the stanzas
  listed above were not evaluated when processing configuration
  files.
  

Problem conclusion

• The configuration file parsing logic has been updated to
  continue to process the configuration file for subsequent
  occurrences of a stanza.
  
  Please note that the use of multiple occurrences of the same
  stanza is not recommended, and any given tuning attribute should
  only appear once within a configuration file, regardless of the
  number of applicable stanzas.
