APAR status

• Closed as program error.

Error description

• The "left click", which allows to select an area (to copy it),
  works correctly when a user tries to do it over the Login
  screen.
  
  However as soon as they logged-in, the "left click"
  has no effect and does not allow to make any selection.

  * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                         *
  * When 3-D Buttons are enabled in 5250 sessions, users were    *
  * not able to select the text using left mouse click so they   *
  * are unable to perform the copy/paste operation.              *
  ****************************************************************
  * RECOMMENDATION:                                              *

  Below are the steps to reproduce the problem:
  
  1. Launch PCOM 5250 session and login
  2. Go to Settings > Hotspots Setup > Point-and-Select Hotspots
  3. Select the check box 3-D Buttons below the PFnn check box
  4. Click on OK button
  5. Then select the text on the PCOM green screen using left
  mouse button
  6. In 32-bit PCOM we can select the text
  7. But in 64-bit PCOM we are not able to select the text
  

Problem conclusion

• Changes have been made in PCSWS.EXE for mouse selection area
  calculation when the 3-D Buttons option is enabled in 64-bit
  PCOM.
