Problem summary
**************************************************************** USERS AFFECTED: Users of IBM MQ on AIX who are installing the: mqm.web.rte fileset, and monitoring the logged installation information. Platforms affected: AIX **************************************************************** PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: When IBM MQ was being installed on AIX to a non-default installation location, an error message was being reported at installation time. For example, if IBM MQ is to be installed on AIX into the following directory: /usr/mqm01 the following commands might be used: # mkidr mqm01 # mkusil -R /usr/mqm01 # installp -R /usr/mqm01 -acgXYd. all and the installation would begin. When it came to install the mqm.web.rte fileset, the following output was observed: Filesets processed: 34 of 35 (Total time: 2 mins 7 secs). installp: APPLYING software for: mqm.web.rte (R) 9.2.0.0 ./mqm.web.rte.pre_rm[38]: /usr/mqm01/usr/mqm/web: not found . . . . . << Copyright notice for mqm.web >> . . . . . . . Once installed, the MQ WebUI component functioned without error. The error message is coming from the installation script, which was running a: lppchk command to verify the installation of the fileset, which was not using the "-R" argument to specify a user-specified installation location.
