Problem summary
**************************************************************** * USERS AFFECTED: * * All IBM Personal Communications users * **************************************************************** * PROBLEM DESCRIPTION: * * When long commands are used in batch FTP command execution, * * some result in Unknown Command error 500 * **************************************************************** * RECOMMENDATION: * **************************************************************** When a string of batch FTP commands are used as a Startup Command in FTP-Client, everything works fine except for SITE SBDATACONN=(IBM-278,ISO8859-1),help,stat,SITE dataclass=dcstand, stat,SITE SBDATACONN=(IBM-278,ISO8859-1),stat. But when we manually issue the command SITE SBDATACONN=(IBM-278,ISO8859-1) after the FTP-Client logon (using right-click > Command), it is working fine.
Problem conclusion
Changes have been made in PCSFTP.EXE to replace the Delimiter from comma to comma and space between each command in batch FTP command execution.
