APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The additional instance message flow threads are expected to
    return to the thread pool if there is not enough workload. But
    the additional instance threads created for the HTTPInput node
    will always be active and process/wait for the input messages.
    These threads are not returning to the thread pool once the
    message load is reduced which will cause
    "TimesMaximumNumberOfThreadsReached" value in the accounting and
    stats data to be incorrect.

    USERS AFFECTED:
    All users of IBM AppConnect Enterprise V11.0 using the HTTPInput
    node with additional instances.
    
    
    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    The additional instance message flow threads are expected to
    return to the thread pool if there is not enough workload. But
    the additional instance threads created for the HTTPInput node
    will always be active and process/wait for the input messages.
    These threads are not returning to the thread pool once the
    message load is reduced which will cause
    "TimesMaximumNumberOfThreadsReached" value in the accounting and
    stats data to be incorrect.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The product has been modified so that the additional instance
    threads associated with the HTTPInput node returns to the thread
    pool if there is not enough workload.
