• Closed as program error.

Error description

• VM backups may fail with java.lang.NullPointerException after
  upgrading to 10.1.6 ifix2. The job log displays following errors
  :

  This occurs on SLAs created on
  Spectrum Protect Plus versions prior to 10.1.4, like 10.1.3,
  because VM grouping wasn't used in earlier versions.

Local fix

• Create a new SLA to replace old SLA created prior to version
  10.1.4, then assign the affected VMs to the new SLA

Problem conclusion
