APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The CPU usage of amqrmppa process increases suddenly while mq
    activities have not changed.
    
    The MQ trace file shows these lines repeated
    indefinitely.

Local fix

Problem summary

    All users of IBM MQ.
    Platforms affected:

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    A coding error meant that the IBM MQ channel agent process
    (amqrmppa) had the potential to enter an infinite loop during
    channel initialization.
    

Problem conclusion

  • The IBM MQ queue manager code has been changed to prevent the
    possibility of an inifinite loop.
