Error description

  • The MQ Explorer cluster plugin is being used to administer an MQ
cluster. When the "Duplicate cluster members" test is run, it
detects that a cluster membership list contains duplicate
entries for the same queue manager. As a result, the MQ Explorer
    displays the following warning message:

Cluster membership lists shows the queue manager <queue manager>
    twice in the cluster <cluster>

This warning message is grammatically incorrect.

Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
This issue affects users of the MQ Explorer cluster plugin.

    Platforms affected:

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The MQ Explorer cluster plugin provides some tests which can be
run to check for issues within a cluster definition. A complete
list of these tests can be found in the:

    "IBM MQ supplied tests"

topic in the IBM MQ sections of IBM Knowledge Center. The URI
for this topic in the MQ 9.2.x section of IBM Knowledge Center
    is shown below:

    https://www.ibm.com/support/knowledgecenter/SSFKSJ_9.2.0/com.ibm
    .mq.explorer.doc/t_testsoverview.htm

Now, if the "Duplicate cluster members" test detected that a
cluster membership list contained duplicate entries for the same
queue manager, the MQ Explorer would display the following
    warning message:

Cluster membership lists shows the queue manager <queue manager>
    twice in the cluster <cluster>

This warning message was grammatically incorrect.

Problem conclusion

  • The warning message displayed by the MQ Explorer cluster plugin
"Duplicate cluster member" test has been updated to be:

The membership list for the cluster <cluster> contains a
duplicate entry for the queue manager <queue manager>
