Error description

  • When using amqspdbg and specifying the -i, -q, -p and -a options
then a runtime error is shown, for example:

    .

    2) An FDC is also generated.

Local fix

  • If the queue manager name is mangled, e.g. MY!QM, then there is
no workaround. If the queue manager name is not mangled then an
    alternative is to use -1, -2, -3, 4 instead of -i, -q, -p, -a.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
Users who are asked by IBM Support to use the amqspdbg command
    may encounter this problem.

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
A change in the way that queue manager details are looked up
internally caused the amqspdbg command to fail to resolve
    mangled names.

Problem conclusion

  • The code was modified so that queue managers with mangled names
    are found correctly.
