Error description

  • Cluster Nodes can incorrectly be reported as down when they are
    up and running. Network issues can cause JGroups View Member
    updates to timeout, this can result in a Node experiencing
    network issues to report that other nodes are down, but miss
    subsequent JGroups messages indicating that the nodes are back
    up.

    network issues to report that other nodes are down, but miss
    subsequent JGroupsmessages indicating that the nodes are back

Problem conclusion

  • Resolution Summary:
    A code fix is provided.
    Updated the Cluster Node status with regular queries of the
    JGroups View as well as triggers from JGroups. Use the
    JGroups View Member list received during the Node status
    broadcast to maintain and update the internal current View
    Members list, in additionto updating the list based on triggers
    from JGroups.
