Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
Users using MQ Appliance for High Availability(HA) and Disaster
    Recovery (DR)

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When an HA queue manager is started with -ns then it is started
outside the HA control. If the DR definition is deleted using
dltdrprimary command then it fails with error. However, the
error reported by the command is not useful to understand the
problem scenario and if the dltdrprimary command is run after
ending the queue manager then it should succeed.

Problem conclusion

  • The code is modified such that a new error message AMQ3557 is
reported with a user action that suggests the user to issue
endmqm to stop the queue manager and it enables the command
crtdrprimary/dltdrprimary to succeed after endmqm is issued.
