Error description

  • End-user receives a HOD Blank Screen issue and is present even
    after connect/disconnect due to a "Device Name is in Use"
    error.
    
    This issue occurs when the HOD socket connection is
    not closed properly and is addressed by adding the
    CONNECTION_DEVICE_NOT_AVAILABLE variable in the Disconnect
    method, to manage the session connection.

    * After 2 hours of idle time, the session shows a blank screen *
    * and disconnect/connect does not work.                        *

    When Keepalive and autoreconnect are set as Yes, a blank screen
    can be seen on a 5250 session by not giving any input after 2
    hours and the user is unable to disconnect/connect the session.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Changes have been made to the IBM Host On-Demand to address this
    problem.
    
    Fix scheduled for IBM Host On-Demand 12.0.6, 13.0.4 and 14.0.2
