APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When the integration server hosting the first catalog server
    listed in catalogServiceEndPoints is down, the container server
    is failing to start and is throwing below error:
    
    
    BIP7161E:
    Container server 'XXXXX' in integration server 'YYYYY' failed
    to start. Further details of the error are : 'Timed out
    Container waiting for Catalogs to startup'. Check that the
    catalog servers for this cache are started. Check the
    configured properties for this server. Verify that the ports
    that are configured for this server are available on this
    computer. Restart the integration server to restart this
    container server.

    All users of App Connect Enterprise V11  using Global Cache
    <span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">with more than
    one catalog server.</span>
    
    
    Platforms affected:
    z/OS, MultiPlatform

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    <span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">When the
    integration server hosting the first catalog server
    </span><span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">listed
    in catalogServiceEndPoints is down, the container server
    </span><span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)"> fails
    to start  with error BIP7161E.    </span>
    

Problem conclusion

  • <span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">The product
    now ensures that container servers for the global cache are
    started and connected to the available catalog server that is up
    and running.</span>
