IT32879: CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW FAILS WITH SQL0727 WHEN VIEW DOES NOT EXIST

APAR status

• Closed as unreproducible.

Error description

• With auto_reval set to IMMEDIATE, CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW may
  fail with SQLCODE -727 if the view does not exist.  This can
  happen if the view was previously dropped leaving invalidated
  dependent objects.  Since there is no actual view replacement,
  Db2 should not try to re validate the dependent objects
  immediately.  If an error occurs during revalidation, this
  prevents successful completion of the CREATE OR REPLACE VIEW.
  

Local fix

• Do not specify OR REPLACE if you know the view does not exist.
  Alternatively, change auto_reval to DEFERRED.
