Error description

  • The IBM MQ runmqras command captures the output of the runmqsc
command DIS CONN(*) ALL which shows all the application
    connections to the queue manager.
The command output does not however include detailed information
about what object handle each application has open.

Adding DISPLAY CONN(*) TYPE(*) ALL command output to IBM MQ
runmqras would capture such information in one shot.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
The runmqras diagnostic collection tool captures the output of
the runmqsc command "DIS CONN(*) ALL". This command prints out
each connection but not the objects that the connections have
open. This information is available via other commands such as
DIS SBSTATUS/TPSTATUS/QSTATUS but it is necessary to work
backwards to match open objects to connections.

Problem conclusion

  • The runmqras tool has been changed so that it captures the
output of "DIS CONN(*) TYPE(*) ALL". This form of the DIS CONN
command lists each connection along with all of the object
handles that it has open, making it possible to see at a glance
the relationship between connections and the objects that those
    connections have open.
