APAR status

Error description

  • The MEFG Comm and Server scripts processes wait PID command
during Service shutdown. These commands generate
errors which can be captured in the log, if standard error is
redirected to the associate log.

The MEFG Comm Server and MEFG SWIFTNet Server commands have
their standard error redirected to the associated log files.

Problem conclusion

  • Resolution Summary:
A code fix is provided.
Updated script to remove the command, wait $PID, from the STOP
and STOPFORCE script action cases.  This command is only
relevant and successful when invoking script is the parent
process for the PID.  The STOP and STOPFORCE command are
invoking in a subsequent shell than the PID owner.
