APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • ESQL Files are not processed in a consistent order during
    deployment. If ESQL Files deployed contain order sensitive
    dependencies then this may result in a deployment error on some
    systems but work correctly on other systems.

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

    style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">systems but work
    correctly on other systems.  </span>

    It is not recommended to construct ESQL in such a way that the
    order of processing is critical. For example do not initialise
    schema level or shared variables on one ESQL file based on the
    value of a schema level variable or shared variable in another
    ESQL file.

Problem conclusion

  • ESQL files are now processed in a consistent order during
    deployment. This order is based on the natural sort order of the
    paths to the deployed ESQL files on disk.
