APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The value set for ConnectionIdleTimeoutSec in IMSConnect policy
    is not being picked up and the default value (zero) is being
    used. Hence, the cached IMS connection which is inactive for a
    very long time is not getting released from the connection pool
    .

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    <span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);color:rgb(0, 0,
    0);font-size:12px;font-family:arial,sans-serif">The cached IMS
    Connections which are inactive for long time were not getting
    released from connection pool as the  value set for
    ConnectionIdleTimeoutSec in IMSConnect policy </span><span
    style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255);color:rgb(0, 0,
    0);font-size:12px;font-family:arial,sans-serif">is not being
    picked up and the default value (zero) is being used.</span>
    

Problem conclusion

  • The product now uses the<span style="background-color:rgb(255,
    255, 255);color:rgb(0, 0,
    0);font-size:12px;font-family:arial,sans-serif">
    ConnectionIdleTimeoutSec value from the IMSConnect
    policy.</span>
