Error description

  • Memory leaks in command line processor's backend process (db2bp)
when SET SERVEROUTPUT ON command is used.

The following scenario illustrates how to produce the leak
    issue.

    db2 connect to sample
    db2 set serveroutput on
    db2 "select ..."
    db2 "select ..."

Using SET SERVEROUPUT OFF command will not free up the leaked
    memory.

On Linux and Unix platforms, ps command shows increase in RSS
size of the db2bp process, every time a statement is issued.

db2pd -memblock against db2bp process shows the following
    blocks keep increasing.

    Memory blocks sorted by size:
PoolID PoolName TotalSize(Bytes) TotalCount LOC File
    0 163365 5 9091
    clpbp.C

Please note that the LOC can vary depending on the versions and
    fix pack level.
