APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • The value of x-client-ip header is set from the client address
when the GatewayScript gets it as
    apim.getvariable('message.headers.x-client-ip') in API
    Connect V5. However context.get('message.headers.x-client-ip')
is set from the service local address in DataPower API Gateway.

Local fix

Problem summary

  • APIGW users who uses GatewayScript to get the x-client-ip
    header, to call
    apim.getvariable(??message.headers.X-Client-Ip??), might not be
able to get the client's IP address but the IP address of
    DataPower Gateway.

Temporary fix
