Error description

  • A failure data capture (FDC) record with probe id 'OP008000' is
generated by runmqdlq while processing special messages like
zero byte message in the dead letter queue. The messages fail to
process because of 'MQRC_TRUNCATED_MSG_FAILED' error. The FDCs
    have following structure
    | Probe Id :- OP008000

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
While processing special messages like zero byte messages,
insufficient buffer length is provided to get the messages from
the dead letter queue. This insufficient buffer length is
causing the MQGET call to fail with MQRC_TRUNCATED_MSG_FAILED
    error and generate FDC.

Problem conclusion

  • The dead letter queue handler code has been modified to use
appropriate buffer length for handling all types of messages.
