APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • After the Daylight Savings time change, the offset for the
syslog-tcp log target does not reflect the change and is off by
1 hour.

Local fix

  • Restart the DataPower Gateway

Problem summary

  • Time Settings object contains an internal field responsible
for TimeZone offset shift. This value is updated only on
commit of Time Settings object and becomes out of sync
when a DST time shift occurs. This impacts Syslog Timestamps
if they contain microsecond precision which includes DST offset.
