APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • In pureScale when database configuration parameter LOCKTIMEOUT
    is not the
    default value -1, an extent movement started by an ALTER
    TABLESPACE LOWER HIGH WATER MARK or an ALTER TABLESPACE REDUCE
    MAX could return a lock time out error which in return will
    bring the system down.

Local fix

  • Set database configuration parameter LOCKTIMEOUT to -1 after db2
    restart db.
