Error description

  • If a message flow receives an http reply with special characters
and httpresponse header is removed from a compute node then
while serializing the message the default CCSID can get used
instead of Properties.CodedCharSetId value. This can cause
character conversion issues and the message flow can fail with a
BIP2136E error in the syslog file. The properties tree correctly
shows the CodedCharSetId but while serializing the message a
    different CCSID can get used.

    BIP2136E: ( BKR10.default ) Source character ''d71e'' cannot be
converted from Unicode to codepage '437'.

Local fix

  • Set the CodedCharSetId explicitly from a Compute node by using
    ESQL statement 'SET OutputRoot.Properties.CodedCharSetId =
    1208;'

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
If a HTTPRequest node in a messageflow receives a http response
with special characters and the corresponding httpresponse
header is later removed from a subsequent compute node, then its
seen that the coded charset value of properties
folder(Properties.CodedCharSetId ) is not honoured. Instead the
default CCSID is used while serializing the message tree. This
can cause character conversion issues and the message flow can
fail with a BIP2136E error in the syslog file even though the
properties folder correctly shows the CodedCharSetId that need
    to be used.

    BIP2136E: ( BKR10.default ) Source character ''d71e'' cannot be
converted from Unicode to codepage '437'.
