APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • When Global Cache is configured to use ORB protocol and if
domainName is set to blank or empty string then
ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException occurs during grid
initialization.

This was working fine with WXS version 8.6.0.8
is in IIB 10.0.0.15 however it started failing with WXS 8.6.1.3
libraries.

Local fix

  • use XIO protocol by setting fixpack capability to latest
('all')

Problem summary

All user of IBM Integration Bus v10  and App Connect Enterprise
v11 using ORB protocol of Global Cache


Platforms affected:
z/OS, MultiPlatform

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When Global Cache is configured to use ORB protocol and if
domainName is set to blank or empty string then
ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException occurs during grid
initialization.

Problem conclusion

  • Product now includes a version of global cache client library
objectgrid.jar that resolves the error with ORB protocol.
