IT30880: NULLPOINTEREXCEPTION IN SAP REQUEST NODE

Error description

• When deploying a flow containing an SAP Request Node in the
  stopped state, and there is no default applicatoin defined in
  the server.conf.yaml file then when starting the flow the
  following error may be observed:
  
  
  BIP4367E: The method
  'onPreSetupValidation' in Java node 'SAP Request' has thrown
  the following exception:
  java.lang.NullPointerException.
  
  
  BIP4395E: Java exception:
  'java.lang.NullPointerException'; thrown from class name:
  'com.ibm.broker.adapter.nodes.MbAdapterRequestNode', method
  name: 'onPreSetupValidation', file:
  'MbAdapterRequestNode.java', line: '189'
  

Local fix

• Define a default application or place the SAP Request Node in a
  subflow

  PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:

Problem conclusion

• The SAP Request Node has been modified such that it no longer
  issues an error when deploying in the stopped state.
