Local fix

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
Any users that start and end a queue manager in quick
succession, for example, via a script may be affected.

    Platforms affected:
    MultiPlatform

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
endmqm -i (immediate) was issued and returned with a zero return
code indicating that the queue manager had successfully ended.
Under some scheduling conditions AMQP or MQXR java processes and
a amqzmgr0 process could continue to run for a few seconds after
endmqm completion. Subsequent operations to restart or delete
the queue manager may fail due to the running processes.

Problem conclusion

  • endmqm logic did not wait for the SYSTEM.AMQP.SERVICE or
SYSTEM.MQXR.SERVICE services to end. The endmqm logic has been
altered to wait for up to 60 seconds for these tasks to end.
