Error description

  • The IBM Spectrum Protect Plus joblog shows backup jobs for
    protecting VM with status completed,
    the VM is protected and not failing.
    Example:
    SUMMARY,...,<timestamp>, ,CTGGA2328,Starting job for policy
    vmware_SLA-IBM-1234-DAILY (ID:1004)

    for VM IBM-WIN-LAB01

    .
    There are neither ERROR's nor WARNING's posted for VM
    IBM-WIN-LAB01 - But, when looking to the report for
    'VM Backup History' it shows -> STATUS=FAILED for VM
    'IBM-WIN-LAB01' running on policy 'SLA-IBM-1234-DAILY'.

Problem conclusion

  • IBM Spectrum Protect Plus has been updated to correct the
    problem.   The VM Backup History report will now report the
    correct status of VM Backup instances.
