APAR status

Error description

  • An XMS or managed .NET application which is configured with
    multiple connection names for a queue manager is observed to
    hang when failing over between entries in the namelist or CCDT,
    for example when "endmqm -ir" is run against the active queue
    manager instance.

    USERS AFFECTED:
    This issue affects users of XMS or managed .NET MQ client
    applications which are configured with multiple connection names
    for a queue manager - either via a connectionnamelist property,
    or a CCDT file.
    
    
    Platforms affected:
    Windows

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    A logic error in the MQ Managed .Net client reconnection thread
    synchronization caused the hang.
    

Problem conclusion

  • Thread synchronization of MQ managed .Net client code has been
    corrected when multiple connection names are used to connect to
    queue manager.
