APAR status

Error description

  • If you directly specify the password in properties like
    brokerTruststorePass or brokerKeystorePass under
    BrokerRegistry, it may cause the integration node to crash if
    the password contains special charactes which are not allowed
    for a filename on windows.

    USERS AFFECTED:
    All users of IBM Integration Bus v10 and IBM App Connect
    Enterprise v11 on Windows.
    
    
    Platforms affected:
    Windows on x86-64 platform

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
    <span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">If you
    directly specify the password in properties like </span><span
    style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">brokerTruststorePass
    or brokerKeystorePass under               </span>
    <span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">BrokerRegistry
    and if the password contains special characters which are not
    allowed  </span><span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255,
    255)">for a filename on Windows operating system then  it may
    cause the integration node to crash during the lookup for the
    registry key.</span>
    
    <span style="background-color:rgb(255, 255, 255)">This is
    applicable to all the configurable properties which can
    otherwise be set using mqsisetdbparms.  </span>

Problem conclusion

  • The product no longer crashes on Windows platform due to invalid
    characters in the configurable properties which require a lookup
    in the integration node registry.
