Error description

  • When trying to delete an SLA policy defined in the IBM
    Spectrum Protect Plus appliance, it can fail with a pop-up
      window stating:
    
        Internal Server Error:...ZuulException... locahost:8083
          failed to respond
    
      The cause of the problem is that for the SLA Policy
      attempting to be deleted does have a valid policy entry in the
      DB but does not have any job entries which should have similar
      names as the policies. When this occurs during the deletion it
      causes the deletion background process to hang at the time
      when it discovers there are no jobs, and fails to callback the
      parent function. This eventually times out after 5 minutes and
      produces the error seen above.

Problem conclusion

  • IBM Spectrum Protect Plus has been updated to correct the
    problem. Even if there are no associated job entries found for
    SLA(s), the code has been fixed to continue deleting the
    associated policies and SLAS.
