APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • If an Integration node is enabled for WebSphere MQ fastpath and
an MQ Client connection is attempted from any of the MQ nodes
then the MQ Connection fails with MQRC 2046
(MQRC_OPTIONS_ERROR). Broker syslog file shows following
BIP2677E error message.

BIP2677E: Failed to make a client connection to queue manager
''QMGR10'' using hostname ''myhost'' on port '1414': MQCC=2;
MQRC=2046.

USERS AFFECTED:
All users of IBM AppConnect Enterprise V11.0 and IBM Integration
Bus V10.0 using the WebSphere MQ fastpath option.


Platforms affected:
z/OS, MultiPlatform

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
If an Integration node is enabled for WebSphere MQ fastpath and
an MQ Client connection is attempted from any of the MQ nodes
then the MQ Connection fails with MQRC 2046
(MQRC_OPTIONS_ERROR). Broker syslog file shows following
BIP2677E error message.

Problem conclusion


    

  • The product no longer causes MQ Connection failure with MQRC
2046 (MQRC_OPTIONS_ERROR) from a WebSphere MQ fastpath enabled
Integration Node.
