APAR status

  • Closed as program error.

Error description

  • Any JVM properties set in the
    <MQ_DATA>/qmgr/<QMGR_NAME>/amqp/amqp_java.properties file are
not passed to the queue manager's AMQP service JVM as expected.

Local fix

  • Set the JVM properties required to enable monitoring from
the amqp_java.properties file in the config directory
under /opt/mqm so they are passed to the AMQP service
    JVM at startup.

Problem summary

    USERS AFFECTED:
This issue affects users attempting to pass JVM tuning
properties to the AMQP service JVM.

    Platforms affected:
    Windows, Linux on x86-64, AIX

    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Any JVM properties set in the
    <MQ_DATA>/qmgr/<QMGR_NAME>/amqp/amqp_java.properties file -
defined in the Knowledge Center as the file in which to specify
JVM properties to pass to the AMQP service - were ignored when
the v8 AMQP service was started, resulting in those properties
not being passed to the v8 AMQP service JVM.

Problem conclusion

  • Any properties set in the
    <MQ_DATA>/qmgr/<QMGR_NAME/amqp/amqp_java.properties file are now
passed to the v8 AMQP service JVM at startup.
