IT28845: MAP TEST UTILITY FOR IBM STERLING B2B INTEGRATOR V6.0 DOES NOT EXECUTE DUE TO INCORRECT JAVA VERSION IN REGISTRY

Error description

• The supported Java version for the Map Editor in IBM Sterling
  B2B Integrator 6000000 is 1.8, but the installation of the Map
  Editor adds a Java Version of 1.7 to the registry, instead. As a
  result, the Map Test Utility does not run.
  

Local fix

  Circumvention:
  Notes: You must be an administrator of the Windows machine to
  do this. This should probably not be attempted by people who
  are not familiar with the possible pitfalls of manually
  changing values in the Registry Editor.
  
  1. From a Windows command line, type in "regedit" without the
  quotation marks and Enter. The Registry Editor will open.
  2. Dig down to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Sterling
  Commerce\STERLING Integrator\Map Editor\8.0.3.0\
  3. Right click the key named Java Version and select Modify.
  4. Change the value in the key from 1.7 to 1.8 and then click
  OK.
  5. Close the Resitry Editor.
  6. Update the dialog boxes in the Map Editor when it opens.
