Error description

  • When attempting to create a JMS connection with the WMB adapter

use the default Batch adapter, which results in the connection
failing to be established to the queue manager.

Problem summary

  • ****************************************************************
    USERS AFFECTED:
This affects users of the IBM MQ classes for JMS, which are
running on the z/OS platform within a 64-bit JVM, while
attempting to use the 'WMB adapter', as specified with the
    configuration property and value:

      com.ibm.mq.adapter=wmb

    Platforms affected:
    z/OS

    ****************************************************************
    PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
When attempting to create a JMS connection to a queue manager
from within a 64-bit JVM on z/OS, while configured to use the
WMB adapter, the choice of adapter was ignored, and overridden
    with the default Batch adapter.

This resulted in the connection attempt failing to connect to
    the queue manager.

Problem conclusion

  • When trying to create a JMS connection to a queue manager from
WebSphere Application Server on 64-bit z/OS using the WMB
adapter, the requested WMB adapter is used to successfully
    create the connection.
