Error description

  • If the RFH2 parser encounters an XML entity in the <usr> folder
and this entity is not one of the following characters:

    " (double quote)

    ' (single quote)

    & (ampersand)

    < (left angle bracket)

    > (right angle bracket)

Then a BIP6119 exception will be thrown with a description
containing the text "Unrecognized entity substitution". This

APAR provides the capability to either treat unknown entities as
strings (so they are not expanded in the output tree).

This enables the use case where the data does not need to be
transformed by IIB and just passed as-is to other systems.

Problem conclusion

  • This APAR introduces the environment variable
    MQSI_RFH2_PARSER_IGNORE_UNKNOWN_ENTITIES. When set to any
non-null value this causes the RFH2 parser to ignore unknown
    entities.
